The Reporter Mobile wireless COFDM system is intended for digital video/audio transmission in a frequency range of 2GHz from a TV van to central
TV studio. The system provides reliable transmission for up to 25km line-of-sight. Also it can transmit to at least several kilometers non-line-of-sight
(the distance depends of an environment) and provides reporting on the move. The system is best suited for news, music festivals, sports
broadcasting and can be mounted in ground or airborne vehicles. In conjunction with the VIDEOLINK wireless system it provides real-time reporting
without wasting time on equipment deployment (mounting antennas, unrolling cables and so on).

Various network architectures are possible within the system depending on propagation conditions of a signal
In order to extend coverage area considerably it is possible to implement a cellular method used by mobile communication. All area should be
divided into cells. A set including receiving antenna and converter for receiving 2GHz range DVB-T signals from a TV van is installed on a mast
or a high-rise building in each cell. It is also installed antenna and radio link transmitter of 11GHz range. The antenna of 11 GHz is pointed to a
studio where receiving system of 11GHz is installed. When it is necessary to deliver a signal from concrete cell to the studio, DVB-T receiver
and DVB-S modulator should be connected to the antennas at this cell-site. The receiver and the modulator are connected via ASI. When
transmitting is over, the receiver and the modulator can be disconnected, while antennas, converters, transmitter and cables remain.
Using cellular method allows to cover large urban areas and organize live broadcasting with minimum waste of time
for system deployment.
